Layla Harding is a member of Muscular Dystrophy UK’s Trailblazers, a network of young disabled people who campaign to remove the barriers that prevent them from living full and independent lives. She is currently doing a Masters degree and sits on various disability advisory groups, including one for the O2 arena.
A few people from Muscular Dystrophy UK were kindly invited to the launch night of Why Not People? (WNP) at the Troxy in Limehouse on Wednesday the 1st of July and the invite was extended to Trailblazers.
Last Wednesday the 1st of July MD UK’s Trailblazers had an eventful day meeting with Members of Parliament by day and partying with Tinie Tempah and Jameela Jamil by night.
Today some of the Trailblazer’s team met with Jessica and Sarah from Transport for London, as well as peers from Whizz Kidz and Transport for All, to discuss the proposed step-free night-time tube guide.
