Following our commitment to provide greater support inside communities and muscle clinics Muscular Dystrophy UK would like to introduce our clinic support team.

Muscular Dystrophy UK has recruited clinic roles in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland as well as the Head of Clinical Development. We are also in the process of recruiting to three further roles in England, to be based in London (Great Ormond Street Hospital), Newcastle and Oxford.

Attending clinics means that I can let people know about Muscular Dystrophy UK and the support we can offer. Families are often so pleased to have someone there to discuss social and practical issues that they need support with.

From the moment of diagnosis your life will have changed. Being faced with a whole new world of medical understanding, while also needing emotional support and practical information about your new daily life.

We’re here to support you, and your family, along this journey. To help, listen, and connect you with others who understand what it means to live with a muscle-wasting condition.

This new team will offer the charity’s support and advocacy services locally, working with the clinical teams and advocating on your behalf. Please visit our page on the clinic team to see who can support you locally.

If one of our clinic roles is in your area please feel free to contact the team directly on our meet the team page. To find out more about our commitment to fund clinic roles and support individuals and families living with muscle wasting conditions please contact us through info@musculardystrophyuk.org.
