Muscular Dystrophy UK wants to invite you to complete a research survey produced by Ulster University, giving your experience of caring for someone with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The research looks at resilience in carers and how they cope and adapt to the challenges they may face. The research aims to shape future services in order to support families who live with Duchenne muscular dystrophy more effectively.
The survey asks for your experiences and looks at resilience, emotional intelligence and social support. This includes the skills used to manage the emotions of being a carer for someone with a complex condition. All personal information will remain confidential unless concern is raised and no information identifying individuals will be printed.
The survey takes around 20 minutes to complete and gives an opportunity at the end to sign up to take part in interviews about your experiences of Duchenne.
The survey ends on Wednesday 2 May 2018 so please complete the questions before this date. The research study has been approved by the Ulster University Ethics Committee and Northern Ireland’s Hospice.
