ODI Event about Higher Education

Published Date

Last Tuesday, I went to a meeting at the Office for Disability Issues (part of the Department for Work and Pensions) about access to Higher Education as part of their Cross government approach to disability strategy – ‘Fulfilling Potential‘ campaign – that I attended as the London Regional Ambassador representing Trailblazers.

It a was quite an interesting meeting and we came up with some good thoughts, as well as how in the future to best support disabled people in Higher Education. It was good that I was able to attend too because I gave some excellent feedback about my experience at University being a severely disabled, recent graduate myself.

Overall, it was an insightful meeting and I look forward to further working with the ODI to ensure disable people’s needs are met before, during and after Higher Education. Stay tuned for more updates.
