Great to see the official launch is going so well! I just wanted to post a quick message to mention the film scheme on the Channel 4 website; I know I have mentioned it before but I think it’s a really good opportunity to publicise our transport campaign. If it’s at all possible, I thought people could maybe take short video clips or even just images on mobile phones of problems they come across whilst using public transport…. I know it will probably be too late to enter anything for the scheme, but we can still upload any media elements to this website and strengthen our survey findings with visual material.
Here is the information about the scheme anyway:
‘UK Film Council’s first ever scheme aimed solely at disabled filmmakers.
104 films are launching the UK Film Council’s first ever scheme aimed solely at disabled filmmakers. Under the banner The Magic Hour, five short films will be produced, each with a budget of £8000.
The short films can be fiction, documentary, or animation and applications are open to writers and directors who consider themselves to have a disability. The scheme will be launched in late November 2008 will close in January 2009. For more information please contact firstname.lastname@example.org’
Keep up the good work guys!
