This week TFL announced the winners of their Accessible App competition. The competition was held over the summer and the challenge was to create an app that easily displayed information about the accessibility of London transport. The app had to be accessible to a variety of impairments and so there were many different winning categories designed for people with anything from a visual impairment to mobility impairment.
The app that won the category for best accessibility/step free information was called Station Master and focused on the accessible routes on the London Underground, Overground and the DLR.
Station Master could be great news for both Trailblazers living in London but also for Trailblazers visiting the city. Up to date access information will help simplify journeys and is another step forward for the accessibility in London!
Do you think this will improve the experience you have with public transport in London? Let us know what you think!
