On Friday 27 August the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign are launching the Thirty Hour Wheelathon on the Weston Wheel to raise funds and awareness of the charity.

Trailblazers Steve Ledbrook and Khurm Arshad will be participating with other volunteers and Trailblazer Kimberly Randle will join them for the final 10 hours.

Trailblazer Steve from Weston-super-Mare has been volunteering for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign through campaigning and fundraising for many years. He said:

I am hoping this fundraising event will be a wheely wonderful chance to raise awareness of my condition, muscular dystrophy. Care services in my area often feel like a never-ending cycle of uncertainty. By spending 30 hours on the wheel I am hoping to raise enough money towards breaking this cycle for the 70,000 children and adults living with muscular dystrophy and related muscle diseases.
