Duchenne Research Relay Family Bike Challenge

Event Date
4 July 2021
Location
Salt Ayre Cycle Track, Lancaster, LA1 5JS

In August this year, a ‘Where there’s a Will there’s a way’ team will attempt to ride between 4 of the main UK Research Centres working on treatments for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. London to Oxford to Liverpool to Newcastle. That’s a distance of 380 miles in 3 days.

On Sunday 4 July, between 10am and 2pm, we want children, accompanied by a parent or responsible adult, to join our team to ride a combined total of 380 miles in 4 hours at Salt Ayre Cycle Track in Lancaster, to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy UK.

Open to children in Year 1 to Year 9. This is a fun, non-competitive event, open to all, in a safe, outdoor, traffic free environment. Bring your bikes and helmets, come and ride as far as you can.

Please note: children must be accompanied by their parent/responsible adult at all times and all participants must wear a helmet when riding.
