Imagine an old railway bridge in the Peak District with pillars and arches spanning a narrow gorge where a swift-moving river flows. Welcome to Millers Dale Bridge!
Muscular Dystrophy UK are thrilled to be working with Derby University RAG Society and Abseiling Derbyshire to bring you this incredible abseil experience.
At Millers Dale Bridge your challenge is to abseil over the arch above the River Wye, for an 80 foot abseil of which 70 feet is free-hanging.
Experience the rush of adrenaline in this spectacular Peak District site, and raise money for Muscular Dystrophy UK to fund ground breaking research into muscle wasting conditions.
No experience is necessary and you will receive safe and expert guidance throughout. You need to be at least 16 years old to take part.
Registration is just £10, with a sponsorship target of £100. There is a £3.50 charge for half a day’s parking near the site.
If you would like any further information, please contact Laura English-Rose, Regional Development Manager for Yorkshire and the East Midlands who will be happy to help you.
