Come along to a South West Muscle Group meeting in Bristol on Saturday 21 March, 1pm – 3pm, The Vassall Centre, Gill Avenue, Fishponds, Bristol, BS16 2QQ

Muscle Groups are peer support groups organised by Muscular Dystrophy UK. They are a great way to meet people who are also affected by any of the types of muscular dystrophy or neuromuscular conditions in your local area over a cup of tea.

If you are new to the groups and are interested in attending, you can give me a call or send me an email beforehand if you want to find out a bit more about the meeting before you come along.

Everyone is welcome to these meetings – whether you have been coming for years or have never been before. Families, friends, carers and PAs are all welcome to join too.

The group is an informal and relaxed gathering for sharing knowledge, information and advice about managing the condition, and also a chance for you to chat to Muscular Dystrophy UK staff to find out what support the charity can provide for you.

The next meeting will include a focus on disability benefits to coincide with a new MDUK Benefits Report being launched this spring and a discussion on accessible travel and holidays.

The venues are wheelchair accessible and parking is available. We are also able to contribute to travel expenses for meetings.
