Join us in May at Manchester Museum for Stanley’s Big Day Out!
We are opening the doors of the museum to help raise awareness of Muscular Dystrophy UK and how we help people living with a muscle wasting condition and it’s all centred around a rather large dinosaur called Stan!
We will have loads of fun activities for all the family going on throughout the day along with help and advice from the charity.
One of the fun highlights of the day will be a special birthday celebration at 12 noon for our guest of honour Stanley Newman who will be 7 years old. Make sure you are there for midday to help us with singing Happy Birthday and to try a piece of Stanley’s Dinosaur themed birthday cake!
Date: Saturday 25 May
Time: 10am – 4pm
Location: Manchester Museum, University of Manchester, Oxford Rd, Manchester M13 9PL
Our advocacy teams will be stationed in the Fossil Hall for you to drop into throughout the day with any questions or advice you might need answered. We will also be laden with information and leaflets for you to take away along with tonnes of ways you can get involved with the charity and bring Muscular Dystrophy UK into your community!
Make sure you have a go at some of our arty activities while you’re in the Fossil Hall too.
The museum are putting on a very special dinosaur themed treasure hunt just for the day so make sure to pick yours up on your way around.
We are also very excited to announce that we will be hosting a Guinness World Record attempt for the most people named Stanley in one room! This is a first for the organisation and will leave a lasting legacy of the day, if any of your names are Stanley then make sure you fill out the form below to let us know you would like to take part.
