Birmingham and Solihull CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group) & Sandwell and West Birmingham CCG are reviewing their policy on Cough Assist machines.
Their current position is that there is a lack of evidence that this vital respiratory equipment is clinically effective. This is despite a substantial body of expert opinion and guidelines recommending these machines for people with muscle-wasting conditions.
Make your views known by attending our patient consultation event at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital from 2pm-4pm on Tuesday 19th June 2018. The consultation event will be attended by representatives from the CCGs who will also be providing a presentation.
