We hugely value our partnership working with neuromuscular specialist services and will continue to work with them to help secure the posts and resources they need. Our Regional Neuromuscular Networks help neuromuscular specialist services share intelligence and best practice, and to raise key issues they and their patients are facing. We will continue to co-ordinate these as well as the professional development events that help us to maintain and drive up the quality of the services people living with muscle-wasting conditions use. We will need to find virtual ways of doing this in the short and medium term.
We are extremely grateful to the group of four clinical advisors who agreed to be on our Clinical Advisory Group at the start of the Coronavirus pandemic. We aim to build on the work we initiated with them and the partnership with eight neuromuscular charities to ensure individuals and families get the support they need.
