MDUK’s BBC Radio 4 Appeal #MyMateMartin

We’re delighted that popular comedian Jon Richardson presented our BBC Radio 4 Appeal on Sunday 25 April, alongside his friend and stalwart fundraiser for MDUK, Martin Hywood.

If you haven’t heard the appeal, you can listen to it above and on our YouTube channel.

Please invite your friends and family to listen and donate too. You can donate online or by calling our fundraising hotline on 0300 012 0172 now. Thank you.

The appeal is a story about #MyMate. A story of an extraordinary friendship between two blokes who are mostly very different from each other, but also quite similar. (We also think they’re both generous, big-hearted individuals, but don’t tell Jon we said that.)

Jon told the story of his friendship, and about the huge difference MDUK makes by supporting people, like Martin, who live with muscle-wasting conditions. You can find out more about how we’re here for everyone living with a muscle-wasting condition, from the point of diagnosis onwards.

He also talked about the innovative research MDUK funds into effective treatments and cures. You can find out more about the wide range of projects MDUK is currently funding.

It has been an honour and a thrill to work with Jon and Martin. And if you’d like to know why they got involved, and why they feel so passionately about MDUK, let them tell you themselves.
