2022 Belfast City Marathon

Planning to run the Belfast Marathon in 2022?

If you’ve signed up already or are getting your own place, then join us and raise funds for MDUK.

8 Mile Walk

The Walk event was introduced in 1997, following public demand and is a non-competitive walk, designed for ramblers and hikers. Whether you are part of a walking club or want to set a realistic health and fitness goal for 2021, walk for MDUK.

Team Relay

The Team Relay event is very popular, with around 2,400 teams and 12,000 competitors taking part in 2019.  This event is perfect if you are exploring an interest in running as there are ‘legs’ of the marathon route ranging from 4 miles to 6.9 miles.  As the name suggests, this is very much a "Team" based event rather than a competitive one.

Half Marathon

The Belfast City Half Marathon is the largest half marathon event in Northern Ireland and has seen a massive growth, selling out for four years in a row. The popular half marathon route remains largely the same but has been developed to include a more scenic route through Botanic Gardens onto Stranmillis Embankment.

Full Marathon

The Belfast City Marathon is one of the leading marathons in the UK and Ireland and is an AIMS certified race. The race will start at Stormont at 9am and finish in Ormeau Park. It will follow the same route as the Wheelchair Race and the Team Relay Event. The Belfast event is renowned for the incredible local support and crowds to cheer you on throughout your 26.2 miles!

There is no minimum sponsorship ask and we’ll send you your very own ‘stand-out-from-the-crowd’ running vest to wear on the day.

We are here to support you every step of the way to help you reach your fundraising goals and will share fundraising hints and tips with you too!
