Why not treat yourself to a hair-raising hike around some of the city’s scary streets and historic haunts? Choose your distance, gather your bravest guys and ghouls to make up a team – or go it alone if you dare and meet up with other chilling challengers. Dress to distress! Our creepy dungeon keepers will meet, greet & shock at the Oval start and finish. Once you escape there’s ghostly looped routes, with zombie rest stops, and if you manage to get back in one piece there’s a macabre medal, a glass of the devil’s fizz, some horrific hot food and drink – and a souvenir bobble hat to ward off the spirits as you head off.
This event is strictly walking only – so no jogging or running is allowed.
When you sign up, we’ll send you your welcome pack in the post that will include your bright #TeamMDUK running vest, a training guide and all the materials you need to kick-start your fundraising.

When registering choose OTHER CHARITY - Muscular Dystrophy UK
Step 1. Choose the fundraising option that is right for you:
Charity Sponsorship – you pay a small registration fee, do lots of fundraising and MDUK covers the cost of your event place.
- Half marathon: Reg fee £7.50 / fundraising target £155
- Full marathon: Reg fee £10 / fundraising target £225
Mixed Funding – pay half of the event place cost yourself, fundraise a bit less and MDUK pays the balance of the event place cost.
- Half marathon: Reg fee £29.50 / fundraising target £100
- Full marathon: Reg fee £39.50 / fundraising target £120
Self-Fund – you pay the full cost of the event place - fundraise whatever you want, with no set target or deadline, and there’s no cost to MDUK.
- Half marathon: Reg fee £59 (£44 for 12–17-year-olds)
- Full marathon: Reg fee £79 (£59 for 12–17-year-olds)
