In 2014 Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust appointed a neuromuscular care advisor and specialist respiratory physiotherapist to support young adults living in the areas of Heywood, Rochdale and Middleton.

The specialist care advisor, Janice Fidler, acts as a key worker to children and adults with disabling and or life-limiting neuromuscular conditions from diagnosis in childhood. Janice supports families from diagnosis and beyond, developing care plans as well as helping with the transition between children’s and adult’s services. She also co-ordinates care between GP, community and hospital services.

The team are currently looking to link up with people living with neuromuscular conditions in the area. To make contact call: Tel: 01706 837067 or email: janice.fidler1@nhs.net

How to access the service
