Schools and colleges must follow public health advice guidelines to minimise the risks of coronavirus (COVID-19) transmission. Schools must also follow a process if anyone develops coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms while at school. The Department for Education (DfE) has provided information for parents and students about the measures that schools and colleges have put in place, which can be viewed here.
The new restrictions in place from 5 November 2020 in response to an increase in the prevalence of coronavirus (COVID-19) do not include additional restrictions on schools and colleges.
All schools have a duty to have a managing medical conditions policy in place that is available for all to see. If you are concerned please discuss your concerns with the school and your specialist medical teams.
