This summer, one brother proved his love for his sibling by cycling the 150-mile distance between them.
‘Determined D’ is 12 years old, and wanted to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy UK as his brother, ‘Jovial J’, has Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
Determined D decided to take on the mammoth cycling journey with his mum. He cycled 150 miles of back roads to reach his brother’s house. Not only was this a challenge because of its distance, but because they were also carrying all their camping equipment with them the whole time.
Jovial J joined his brother for the final stage of the journey, in his wheelchair.
Having set off on 22 July, they got to Jovial J on 29 July. They battled through all sorts of weather conditions to complete their week-long journey. The team are well on their way to meeting their fundraising target. If you would like to support them, you can visit their JustGiving page.
This event is part of our Move a Mile for Muscles, where people choose to move a mile however they want, to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy UK.
