Danny Wallace, a former Man Utd and England footballer, the Ambassador for the Kick It Out campaign against racism, is now helping in the fight for better facilities for football supporters who use wheelchairs.

As well as the physical barriers of access to toilets and shops on football grounds, and being allocated seats where game visibility is poor, there is a social issue faced disabled football fans of being isolated from fellow supporters at away matches and being told they cannot wear team colours or celebrate goals.
To combat these issues amongst others, the Equality Standards programme for football is being amended, to include disability as well as racial diversity.  This is a much-needed positive step to push professional clubs to provide better services to disabled football fans.
