Fun and accessible camps for young disabled people

With support from the Bupa UK Foundation, Trailblazers will be running three camps for young people aged 18 to 30 during the next 12 months.

They’ll be great opportunities for young people aged 18 to 30, who have a muscle-wasting condition, to get to spend a weekend away from home, and to build confidence and independence at the same time.

All camps are fully accessible, and offer the chance to meet new people and try some outdoor activities you might never have thought possible. You can have a go at zip-wiring, rock-climbing and sailing, join in a few workshops and get the chance to make new friends too

There are three camps across the UK to choose from:

  • the Lake District from 20 to 22 September 2019 (this camp is now fully booked)
  • Exmoor from 8 to 11 May 2020
  • Kielder from 26 to 28 June 2020.

If you know of anyone who might like to go to any of these camps, please spread the word!

Trailblazers has now moved to pan-disability charity Whizz-Kidz (September 2020).
