On Sunday 31 May 2015 eleven-year-old George Pegg will be Moving a Mile for Muscles.

George was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at 3 years old. He is a positive young boy, and it is because of the hope and optimism in current research that his family have decided to set up a family fund: George’s Journey.

We are incredibly proud of George, he is always amazingly positive and eager to help not only himself but others with the condition.  Moving  Mile a Mile for Muscles gives him a great opportunity to do that”

– Lillian  Pegg, George’s mum

In in his home town of Blyth, George will be completing a sponsored mile on his quad bike. He will set off at 10.30 am from Gloucester House Farm and travel along Blyth beach path to Coastline fish and chips. If anyone in the area wants to come out to support him it would be greatly appreciated.

George has already raised over £700, and the support he has gained from family, friends and his local community is wonderful.

Sara Wilcox, the Regional Development Manager for their area, said “It’s brilliant to see George get involved with Move a Mile for Muscles. What he has already achieved in his fundraising is fantastic. I can’t wait to see how he does on the day. Good luck George!”

You can support George’s event on his JustGiving page.
