NICE, NHS England and NHS Improvement have taken advice from clinical experts and consulted with patient advisory groups Muscular Dystrophy UK, Treat SMA, and SMA UK to produce three more question-and-answer documents relating to the SMA treatment Spinraza.
The first document, which answers questions about Spinraza and how it works, can be found here.
The second document answers questions about the treatment process, and you can read it here.
There are also two documents published last month about access to the treatment for children and the Managed Access Agreement (MAA).
