Virtual Celebrity Sports Quiz has a second round

As with so many events in our diaries, COVID-19 meant we had to cancel our Celebrity Sports Quiz, which was due to take place at Lord’s Cricket Ground on Wednesday 20 May.

On the day which would have been a grand affair in the Long Room at Lord’s, we’re holding our second Virtual Celebrity Sports Quiz with our President, Gabby Logan MBE as quizmaster and hosted by comedian and sports enthusiast Andy Zaltzman.

Our first Virtual Celebrity Sports Quiz was on Tuesday 28 April, where Gabby and Andy were joined by special guests Ryan Sidebottom (former England Cricket International), Charlie Hodgson (ex-Sale Sharks, Saracens and England Rugby) and John Regis MBE (Olympian and former Sprint World Champion).  The celebrities took part in a series of fun challenges, set for them by Alex Horne, who has been cheering us all up with his #hometasking during the lockdown.

The first quiz was joined by nearly 1,000 of you and helped us to raise over £13k!  A massive thank you quizzers, especially joint-winners Florence Nightingale and Fighting Back for Jack, for joining our many other wonderful fundraisers and enabling us to help over 70,000 people living with muscle-wasting conditions in the UK.

If you missed out last time, then why not take part in our second Virtual Celebrity Sports Quiz on Wednesday 20 May at 8pm. Get together with friends and family via Zoom/Teams/WhatsApp or your favourite platform and join in the fun! The quiz is free but we suggest a donation of £5 per player, which you can donate via our JustGiving page, or by texting MDUK3 to 70660.

The quiz will once again be live on MDUK YouTube and will be available after the event as a recording, so you can still get involved.

Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook for updates on this and other ways to get involved, support us and keep smiling in these tough times by getting together virtually and having fun for a great cause. You can also keep in touch by signing up for our newsletter.
