The neurology department at Salford Royal Hospital manages patients with a variety of neurological problems including neuromuscular disease. The neurology service provides assessment, diagnosis and management for patients with neuromuscular conditions.

How to access the service

Patients can be referred by a GP, community pediatrician, or a consultant that they are receiving ongoing care with. Care advisors can be reached out of hours if desperately needed.

Dr Roberts qualified in 1989 with degrees in medicine and physiology. He has published widely on neuromuscular disease. His speciality registrar training was at the Walton Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery in Liverpool, with electives in Kings College, London and Durban, South Africa. In 2000 he was appointed as consultant neurologist in Manchester.

Brad underwent training in Spinal Surgery in the North West and Hong Kong, and was appointed Senior Lecturer in Orthopaedic Surgery in the University of Manchester (Honorary Consultant) in 1991. He became the first full time Consultant in Spinal Surgery in the North of England in 1995.
