Paralympics? I hope ATOS aren’t watching, that’s all i can say!

How the hell can any self-respecting crip get taken seriously at their WCA, when all these guys are displaying signs of being fit and able?

This is a worrying new slant on what should be a totally good news for Britain event.

We have been shown numerous amounts of evidence the the curious testing
proceedures used by ATOS need only one piece of undisputed evidence to declare
a person “Fit For Work”. Vigorously competing in a sports event on national TV could
be a godsend to this end.

Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson said openly in the House of Lords on 17th January
that she would now fail the new benefit assessments. She has previously stated that
she could have achieved nothing without her DLA.

Enjoy any Parylympic medals. They will be he last ones we ever win!

Hi Ameena, that sounds great. Will you make contact with Claire?

Did you go to the movement workshop last weekend (21 January)? It sounded amazing. One of our Trailblazers, Tanvi, went to it and is going to blog about it soon.

    Have a great week, all.

We share the concerns around the assessment for Employment and Support Allowance and around the proposed changes to Disability Living Allowance. The campaigns team and Trailblazers are working closely with people like Tanni Grey-Thompson and a number of other charities – as part of the Disability Benefits Consortium – to make sure the needs of people with a neuromuscular condition are not overlooked.
