Here is a quote from a letter sent to me by one of the healthcare professionals who have helped me over the last year.
“I hope that your newlly acquired positivity continues and that you are able to continue to feel encouraged and enabled to manage your life around your condition rather than feel overwhelmed by it.”
I know there are difficult days and there will be lots more but this quote really cheers me up and sums up what we can all aspire to.

This is so true! I was told I would never learn to ride a bike without stabilisers… but I proved them wrong!
I can’t walk that far either…. but I still managed to walk a very long way in Rome even though I was told ‘oh its huge, you won’t be able to walk around there you’ll get too tired’ I was the one who said ‘oh lets go down here and have a little walk’ and then realised after stopping in shops on the way, that we were half way back to our hotel from the vatican! (shopping is an amazing incentive and nice little rest stop)

thought this one was apt for how things have went for me this week. havent been skiing but have had a few falls in the last week . thank god mostly indoors at home but fell leaving work one night and one of the new guys had to scoup me up off the floor. dont even know what one of the new guys it was, once back on my feet I sort of fled to my car. I do hope I said thank you.

Yes, I have had a few of those sorts of moment … laugh about them now but at the time I was mortified!!
