I hate it when the transfer window opens in January, just an inconvenience really. Having said that, ‘arry didn’t buy us a striker when we needed one last summer so I was hoping he might now. Nope, he goes & buys yet another midfielder/winger. We’ve got strikers that don’t strike, if it weren’t for Van Der Vaart & Bale chipping in with the goals Spurs could be in the position Liverpool find themselves in

No idea if Spurs even turned up at Craven Cottage yesterday, that was a shocking result. Highlights our need for an improved strike force even more & now our defence is in tatters again because of injuries & suspensions. Torres is on his way to chelski & it’s widely reported that the scousers will now improve on their bid to sign Carroll before the deadline – a player Spurs could do with. I wonder if there’s any chance we could intercept Torres helicopter & bring it to Spurs lodge for talks

We’ve got a biggie tonight hosting Leeds Utd.

It’s the only game of the season when I allow my son to sing the “We all hate Leeds” song!

    Re: Football

I sing it all the time unless they’re playing the gooners or the mancs because me brother supports Leeds. His daughter sings #we love you Leeds, Leeds, Leeds# until Uncle Woogy waves a mars bar in her face & then she sings it too  . She’ll also say “come on you Spurs” to her Mum, who supports chelski for the same bribe  .

I really think our ‘arry has dropped the ball by not signing a striker. We’ve let Robbie go & the remaining stikers we’ve got are toothless. Most of our goals have come from Bale & VDV & now Bale has picked up an injury. There’s also the worry he’ll burn out with the amount of games he’s playing & the manner he plays them – always 110%. All that & ‘pool just finding some form, I can see us disappearing into mediocrity & being swallowed by the chasing pack & being dumped out of the CL by AC Milan next month. As supporters we was aware we needed an improved strike force in the summer, now a second window has passed & still nothing.

And the straw that will break the camels back is this stadium debacle. We are N17 & do not want to leave the borough. Enfield is the furthest any THFC supporter is prepared to move. If we move to the east end we are not Tottenham anymore & I will not support them. There are dark clouds looming over White Hart Lane

    Shocking!!
Ozil + Kedira + Van der Vaat + Hernandez = Andy Carroll? HOW!!!?????

    Suarez + Carroll = £58Mil
    Torres sold for £50mil
Doesnt look to bad like that, but who knows if it will pay off?

Torress will do very well at chelsea IMO, he loves being fed through from midfield (and has shown since dalglish has been at the helm) and chelsea are very good at this.

    Still….figures are madness!

Well that was a good game!

Better than the 0-0 draw against QPR on Saturday.

Leeds came to town boasting how they were “the Premier Club of Yorkshire” but they couldn’t match their words with deeds on the pitch. It ended 2-2 with Hull City having led at one point 2-0. We gave away a stupid freekick that was superbly converted by Leeds. Their equaliser was scrappy at best and was the only time in the evening when our defence didn’t really respond.

In every other respect Hull City either matched or exceeded Leeds, well except one; they did manage to put one of our players in hospital!

I’m actually glad that we got two draws against tough opposition, victories would have led to us being tipped for promotion but the team’s not ready for that yet and I don’t fancy watching us getting thumped by EPL teams week in week out.

Really pleased to see Matty Fryatt doing well for you. I really liked him when he was with us and I was really disappointed when he left.

I can imagine that he was a loss to you. It’s the nature of the game though, most of our stalwarts have left since Pearson arrived.

Enjoyed reading this interview with Xavi,

Seems really level-headed for one of the world’s best footballers.

Can’t wait for the Arsenal game on Wednesday, what a contest it’s going to be!

I will be watching it as a neutral – that is one who applauded Newcastle United the other week – and doing my ironing in the first half and drinking a bottle of beer in the second! :D

I’m afraid I won’t be neutral, I will be wearing my Barca shirt tonight. Fell over yesterday morning & hurt my knees, spent most of the day in bed & missed the Spurs game apart from the last twenty minutes :( . What a plank Gatuso is. I used to like him but, he sorely let his team down & himself & Flamini shouldn’t of been on the pitch. The Milan team certainly worked the crowd to tried to influence the officials. I think it’s safe to say our supporters will give them verbally what for when they turn up at the lane in three weeks time. And by some fluke we only to have to play Blackpool & Wolves in between because the gooners are in the league cup final. So, our team has plenty of time to recover. COME ON YOU SPURS !!!

Well that was an entertaining game of football!

I really didn’t think that Arsenal were going to get anything, they seemed incapable of doing anything right once they got into Barcalona’s area, but then they pull off two excellent goals.

As a neutral it was marvellous to watch…except the stupid commentary! I hate football commentators! :x

Spurs are in the qtr’s now of the CL. I hope we get Barca because if we’re going to lose to them I’d rather it was now than in the final at Wembley. Plus our supporters get to visit the Nou Camp that way, they wouldn’t if we met them in the final. I still think, with the team we have, we are punching well above our weight. COYS !!!
