    Hello
Just joined up on the advice of a counsellor who thought it might be a good idea.
I’m LGMD2A alOng with my younger sister- been formally diagnosed about 2 years now and lucky enough to still enjoy a full and active life – for the most part anyway. Have noticed a steady decline in strength over the last few years though.
Don’t get online all that much so may be intermittent with responses but would be good to ‘meet’ others in the same boat.

I was diagnosed when I was about 6-7yrs old and now I’m 22:)

I can still walk but mostly inside the house, as I tend to lose my balance and fall, so don’t really feel comfortable walking outside anymore, had a couple of injuries.
I remember when it all started, my walking got slower, couldn’t climb stairs that much or run. It just felt so hard I couldn’t understand because I wasn’t feeling tired at all, but it all progressed slowly.

Anyway I still try to do most things by myself like cook, clean etc. I just don’t feel like giving up, I think this condition shouldn’t stop us from enjoying our lives:)

Feel free to message me and ask anything:)
