Only four inches here on the east coast … but the next few days will be hell as it will become compacted ice or black ice .. I am staying put.

Haven’t been out of the house since before the weekend, owing to the snow and subsequent ice. I am getting just a tad stir crazy…

I thought I’d revive this instead of starting a new one. Genuine panic for the evening of snow, which, thankfully the rain gods washed away by this afternoon. Am gonna have to start buying lots of tinned and frozen goods in case I’m “stranded” also learn to bake bread. Anyone else’s heart go aflutter with the prospect of snow again this year?

    What about second breakfast?

Well revived Kiss. Vital we are all prepared for the cold weather.

l have been making fevered preparations for weeks now ready for the Icy Blitz. I have over
100 tins in the back room. Stews, Hot Pots, Casseroles and after your last suggestion Heinz Big
Soups. Bought four new sets of long sleeved and long legged thremal underwear, which I am
wearing indoors. The freezer is chock a block full, including at least two weeks supply of
frozen bread, milk and cheese. Xmas dinner already frozen and ready. Salt Supplies in the cupboard
with shevel, brush etc. Bought four furry “Trapper” hats and two rioter facemasks on E-bay.
Seven microwave wheatbags and for good measure a couple
of hot water bottles frim the 99p shop.

Two years ago I was badly caught out but now I can tell Jack Frost to come on and do his worst, I
    am ready for the blighter.

Do you also have a tinfoil hat Mr Fox? We have to protect ourselves from their telepathy. ;)

I feel woefully unprepared! I shall follow your example and I’ll start stocking up my freezer with slow cooked meals, soup etc to last me a while. Alas, I have limited space in the freezer so ice cream etc shall have to be eaten (aw shucks)….

Coping with the winter is a real hassle, when it gets closer to the Winter months it gets me really down. It’s really mostly the ice, snow isn’t so bad but walking on ice is just horrendous.
