yes indeed – don’t know if this works but this is my brick cemetery! My new PA is a newbie gardener and we are doing up the whole garden! She doesn’t stop – 4 hours solid she did on Thursday. Will send an after piccy when finished…..

    so far….

*waves to everyone. G&T please – in a pint glass

This is a good pic and a great idea, have a pile of bricks waiting for such a brainwave, give her two pints.

I do remember those Essex / east Anglian seagulls were very firm in their opinions.

Hi :-) What soil did you use – I’m just this week getting into planting succulents (none cacti sort but same soil required).

I have been online and am making up a mix of 50% peat free soil, 40% cat litter and 10% perlite gravel stuff – don’t have anywhere that sells a ready made mix for dessert loving plants. :-/

do not bother the postman with his bright red shirt and bright red wagon,…….

Can I assume from this that you Postmen have the same pushy red catty things that mine do?

My Postie was complaining vehemently about them yesterday and imparted the amazing information that
Fully loaded they weigh 127 kg.

Indeed they can hardly push them up the footbridge opposite.

That sounds way too technical …. *slurps, vodka&coke*

Cat litter? Wow, another unusual use. I think some people use it in their bins to deodorise and absorb.

Excellent to hear and that sounds a good mix that would work fine.

Obviously they like quick draining soil, with sand and some element of grit. Used to use
Pumice but perlite is perfect. Use soil that will not attract mosses. Used to have 33 % grit element.

….and Cacti and succulents love being mistreated, leave them alone and they are fine.

Thats one of the reasons I like them – If i get the soil right they should be low maintenance :-) bit worried if the heavens open and wash them away so might bring them in if a storm is brewing :-).

They are such amazing plants – think I’m going to like them a lot.

Even wth the roof closed they can go on until 10 … but if Murray’s game is another 5 set battle, they could run out of time!!

They are very rewarding and make so much out of so little
And even give incredible flowers when you get it right.

I had seven different varieties of Lithops, the succulents that look like stones for
Years, then suddenly produce bright yellow or purple flowers.

Gives Murray more chance to recover from his draining five setter.
