    Myasthenia Gravis advice

:new: Hi all ,I am due to see a neurologist on thursday .I am not yet diagnosed however I have had a borderline result on the receptor blood test and my symptoms started in my left eye and have spread down the left side of my body ..i have been experiencing parathesia and weaknes ,my speech is a lot slower and can be tiring to even talk somedays.Medical professionals have ruled out stroke ,lymes disease ,checked for MS lesions ,Vit B 12 deficiency, emotional wellbeing and inflammation .
I have been told for 6 months its likely to be post viral .

I feel ok about it at the moment however I don’t understand if a borderline result can confirm a diagnosis .Any advice or guidance of what to expect at neurologist appointment (I am a little anxious ..tiny bit anxious ) I’m hopeful for clarity so I can start to put things in place when I feel better however long that may take .Thank you for taking time to read my post and I would be very grateful for advice /guidance xxxx

Hi Claire. I’m sure everyone will have a different experience, but I know for my MD (LG2B), I saw a couple of different neurologists and had various different tests before getting diagnosed. I would expect to go in and talk about your history that’s led you to be there; your symptoms etc. They may well have a suggested diagnosis for you, and be able to suggest it, but they may not. I got my formal diagnosis after a blood test and biopsy sent to me by post, and then I saw my specialist about 4 months later. I hope that puts your mind at rest a bit?
