    obesity

watching ‘ big body squad ‘ …what a joke ! it seems if you weigh 30 stone , you can have a new bungelow built to suit your needs , a bed that will turn you and lift you (provided by the NHS ) i got turned down as too expensive , hoists (again provided by the NHS £2000 ) … the self pity these people have it absolutely ridiculous . I know what its like to be overweight as i lost 5 and a half stone 10 yrs ago and i have maintained this but these people carry on munching there way till they selfishly put their own lives at risk and the peoples backs that have to lift them …. right thats it im gonna eat my way through a big bar of galaxy and see if that will help me towards our new home the council is going to build to help me and my husband

Don’t believe everything you see on telly Rachel, remember the skewed John Humphries documentary on Benefit claimants? It isn’t difficult to slant the media to an angle that suits your purpose.

i feel totally disgusted that these people , who have the power to change their lives get all the help and people that have no choice have to fight everyday for everything just to make our lives easier …unbelieveable !!

Are all these docu-soaps a snapshot of life or heavily choreographed works of fiction? I am glad divide and rule is a figment of my imagination.

What is the difference between ranting against fat people, benefit scroungers or that old favourite – the single, unmarried mother?

benefit scroungers …who are the biggest scroungers in our country ? the politicitians who use tax payers money to pay for their luxury lifestyles . Whats the difference ? when they get found out they can afford to pay it back ! most just get a slap on the wrist , dont do it again and we get a public apalogy ! I know its greed for people to do benefit fraud and its totally wrong but kettle black …. single mums , yep there are woman out there that go on and have kids to get a flat but i have been a single mum when my only daughter was 6 and it was blimin hard work so i do have a little experience and i know that alot of these single mums do not choose to be in that situation. Obese people know that they are getting that way and get to a size where they are relying on other people to go out and buy/get there 5 big macs, 3 large fries/ 6 mars bars and a big bottle of coke (in one sitting) ….i will never have any sympathy for these people that drain our NHS and put our paramedics backs at risk , when they can do something about their weight ! as i said , i lost 5 and a half stone when i got diagnosed as i was told by my consultant it would be a strain on my joints and slow my mobility down . I did it in 7 months with weight watchers 10 yrs ago and have maintained it …if i can anyone can !!

The bias of the media is what has stopped me watching the majority of Uk programmes on TV. If I had the strength I’d have put my foot through the tv many times with its over dramatising of dumb stuff and repeated “still to come” goldfish frequent reminders and inaccurate unfactual documentary waffle.

All tv does now is incite scorn, hate and ignorance.

You are right on the button AMG, reality television only plays to the gallery.
