    Worried parent

Hi everyone my name is Lorna and my son Frank is 3 years old and is currently awaiting a biopsy to confirm which type of congenital myopathy he has. I am worried sick to say the least. I feel like I’m in a black whole and all I can do is google everything and then get myself more upset after reading. I’m a terrible worrier anyway and always think the worst. Would love to speak to other parents on the topic please?
    Thank you

Hi Lorna, I’m not the worried parent you were hoping to hear from, but I do have MD and am a parent and grandparent , I’ve spent most of my life worrying over one thing or another.when I got diagnosed I too was in a bad place,I can only imagine what you are going through as a parent but with age I’ve learnt that worrying solves nothing.learn all the important things that will make a difference, most important try not to let your son see you worry and make each day as fun as possible even when you’re screaming inside these fears and feelings do get easier there is help out there I wish I could be more helpful.dont be affraid to ask for help as a worried parent, wishing you all the best
