Cool catatude, lol :0) thanks for reply.

Bed sheets I have are a satin material to help me move across a little. OT has just provided slide sheet to try see if helps. I first of all thought.. Oh no! another thing to have at the ready and need to get rid of when you’re finally settled in, but persevering and hope it’ll help :0)

Your bed looks good, I need a bigger double or 4ft bed too. Agree, lots of good reasons for a bigger bed :0) .. plus space for massage therapy or physiotherapy on bed, I tuck sheet into other side of bed (needs to be a good distance to do this, not next to me) and hold onto this to try and drag myself over onto my side if my back is hurting during the night.

I’m struggling with mattress comfort, think I’m so used to pocket sprung. Foam ones feel too firm, need softer but also don’t want to sink in and be cocooned and then can’t get out!

It’s beneath my cat to give me a paw! He might give me a meouw if he hears me struggling to move or cursing but I’m pretty sure that’s just a shout of ‘don’t disturb my cat nap’ :0)

thank you :0) I spotted that one online too. Does look a good one though as actually lifts and places legs into bed. I guess not many folk with MD use a leg lifter, have their own ‘technique’ or a helping hand perhaps :0)

Thanks Catatude, which Bakar bed do you have?
Useful technique tips for getting into bed thank you.
Really made me laugh with ‘things’ that just crop up in life just to make sure you can go through all the transfer effort twice! :0)

Great tagline too, so appropriate, love it! :0)

Thank you, the “Safeside ” grab rails sound good to help steady yourself and push up/pull down on. Can you use these as an aid to help ‘haul’ your legs in as at please?!! :0)

Great thanks Vicki. That’s a good idea for your ankles. I’ve a Theraflex gel heat pack and reckon that my heel on that might help as another option too.
I’m just ordering the Cervical Pillow from Amazon thank you :)

I’ve just got a Baltic Independent Bed from Centrobed and am struggling to get my legs in which I was able to do independently on my old Adjustamatic bed. I think it’s as I’m struggling with the foam mattress. Do you have a particular mattress or topper please?

Hi, thank you so much for your reply. Mine is a turning bed too tho I find I can’t turn over using it, can you?
Have you put a soft or a particular topper on top of the pressure relieving mattress please?
I am sufferering from pain of the mattress & lack of sleep and am looking to try & get as much comfort as I can.
For my heel I tried a foam boot the other night on right foot only but it threw my hips out a bit so wasn’t good. I’ve tried a gel heel pad in my sock before but that didn’t help relieve pain unfort. Someone has also mentioned this on amazon, not sure if you’ve seen these?…

    Thanks again :)
