    Hi Laura

Welcome to the forum! I’ve just seen your post and am so excited about this opportunity you have coming up next month! I would love to chat to you more – if you’d be happy to do so – to find out more about this, and about your course in general. I write Target MD, the charity’s lifestyle magazine, and I would really love to write a piece about this adventure of yours. If you are happy to do so, please drop me a line at r.martin@muscular-dystrophy.org and we can take it from there.

    Kind regards
    Ruth

Re: Target MD magazine – special feature on Scotland

    Hi All

Hope you’re doing well? I feel like I’ve become a proper stranger around here … sorry.

A few things about Target MD:

    1. the latest edition, which focuses on our work and our wonderful supporters in Wales, is up online for your reading pleasure: http://www.muscular-dystrophy.org/about/what_we_do/key_publications/targetmd/7508_target_md_and_target_research_2014_2_of_4
    2. we’ve also put a reader survey online, as we’re keen to know what you think of the magazines and to hear if you’d like to suggest any changes. We want to bring you publications you want to read, so please take a few minutes – ok, about 15 – of your time to let us know what you think. The survey is here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/targetreader
    3. the next edition of Target MD is focusing on our work and our supporters in Northern Ireland. Please do let me know if you have any story ideas – I’d love to hear from you.

    :ty:

    Have a good evening

    Hi littlestef

Thanks for your generosity. We no longer have a classified ad section in Target MD, but Helen’s suggestion sounds like a great one.

    Take care

Thanks, taungfox – that’s helpful to know. And Gill, thanks for the feedback – I’m glad you enjoyed the magazine. It was such a privilege to visit Scotland and get to meet some supporters up there and share their stories.

Thanks so much, taungfox. And thanks for your valuable feedback – does issuu behave any differently when you read on the tablet, as opposed to the laptop? I’m keen to have the magazine as easily accessible as possible.

PS I posted this originally on the wrong discussion thread – sorry, duh! – and don’t know how to remove it! So now it appears twice!

    Hi All

This is such an interesting – and shocking – discussion thread. Thank you so much, littlestef, for thinking of the charity and donating your £20 – that’s very kind and generous of you.

    Kind regards

Ah thanks, everyone, for the positive feedback. I’m glad you like the video – it was a wonderful project to work on and the two families were smashing to work with – as you can see!

And thanks for embedding the video, AMG, you’re so clever!

    Have a great week, y’all

    Hi All

I’ve just started working on the next edition of Target MD – the high street edition. I’d love to hear your experiences of big nights out on the town – good, bad or indifferent. What tips would you give wheelchair users planning a boys/girls night out?

I’m going to be away for the next two weeks, and I look forward to checking in here when I’m back.

    Thanks for your help always

Re: The Hub Pub – 19 July

    Hi Ruth,

I remember London as being so airless, dusty and stifling on days like this.

    Assume it has not changed.

    Hi taungfox! :waving:

I keep thinking how beautiful London looks in this weather! With the blue blue sky, I keep thinking, “Isn’t she lovely?” I guess it can be airless and dusty too in some parts, but here in central it’s gorgeous!

Absolutely. What is it about ‘mad dogs and Englishmen’?
