Jeff's lockdown locks get the chop

Image
Jeff has chopped off his lockdown locks for MDUK thanks to barbers King & Captain of Thirsk. Jeff has been growing his hair for over a year in a bid to raise money for family fund Abbie Can and MDUK. At the point when his hair reached over 10 inches long, he went from all to nothing with a complete head and beard shave!

Jeff said,

In [Abbie’s mother] Emily’s kitchen one day, Abbie had received a thank you for 10 inches of hair that she had donated to the Little Princess Trust. With the mad impetuousness that l should have tamed decades ago, l told her that if she could do it, then so could I.

Abbie, Jeff’s granddaughter was diagnosed with Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy in September 2018 at the age of 7.

Abbie has trouble using her facial muscles, lifting her arms above her head and has winged scapula. She is keen to raise as much as possible to fund 100 hours of research into her condition through her family fund Abbie Can.

After the full shave, Jeff commented,

I was told this morning that with some darker circles under my eyes, Uncle Fester is my new lookalike, and all I need now is a light bulb for my own ‘Eureka’ moment.

You can donate to Jeff’s JustGiving page; the warm glow of donations will surely keep the cold off his new shaved head!
