Keeley Scott, 11, who lost her grandmother to fascioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) and whose aunt, Alannah, lives with the same condition, has supported Muscular Dystrophy UK since her mum Nikita launched a family fund Succeeding for Sandra, in memory of Keeley’s grandmother Sandra.

Keeley has taken part in the world’s fastest zipwire, raising £580.12 and helped at all her mum’s events like a fashion show and running a stall at their local supermarket.

Now she has produced a video because as she said:

In these difficult times the charities are not getting enough support or money that they need and I wanted to make people aware that the charity is struggling. If we don’t help them they won’t be able to help people with muscular dystrophy.

I want to carry on fundraising because I want to find a cure.

Keeley’s message is

Please help Muscular Dystrophy because the charity needs as much help as it can get right now.

Her mum, Nikita Ellithorn, has done extensive fundraising, including raising money through taking on the London Marathon and Great North Run.
