I was going to throw in some philosophical, meaningful and positive quotes, however you have all said so much already that I just wanna give you a few quotes that mean a lot to me.

The family. We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another’s desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together.- Erma Bombeck

    Re: Favourite Quotes?

I’ve been reading through posts for ages that I’ve missed whilst I was ‘away’ but, I am more than ready for bed now. Sorry for hogging mostly this thread/board in chat & chill.

I do find it hard to comment or add anything constructive to posts that you guys make about you & your health on other threads. I may have said that before. I feel like a fraud. When I get frustrated/angry because I can’t manage something today I could do yesterday I try to temper that & normally come to this forum, to read. I read more than I post.

I have never asked “why me ?” because I come from a family of five, and I can’t speak for my other brother affected but, I have always been thankful it is me & not one of the others. I do often shout “I could beep do this yesterday. What’s beep changed in twenty four hours ? Beep come on man !”

Your posts humble me. Some of you describe more challenging & complicated health issues & yet you seem to deal with them with very admirable dignity & I need to be reminded of what I’ve got. It’s not a question of life but, I can have a pint of whatever, if I so choose but, I couldn’t enjoy a laugh with me mate Mr Fox, sharing a pint together because he doesn’t have that choice.

Please don’t think I am ignorant or self-absorbed when I don’t comment on others/your health issues, I just don’t know what to say. I tip my hat to you. I look up to you & I am very privilidged to be able to converse with you all :ty:

Anyway, I’m red faced now  even if you ain’t. My post here was meant to be, I’ve always liked AMG’s sig “I’m always the animal, it’s my body that’s the cage”.

I’ve used that quote (where’d I pay the royalties to AMG :D ?) but, feel I’m more Garfield than Simba nowadays

Nikki Sixx would sue by beeeehind!! It is a lyric from El Paso, a track “Diet For A New America” which he did with his side group -(58)- around 2000. Bud of mine was on guitar/vocals with him. Always loved the line.

Nikki Six ? Now without me cheating by abusing the net, from memory, wasn’t he part of G n R ? If he wasn’t was he in Poison or Mötley Crüe ? I can remember a pic of him on a poster, late 80’s/early 90’s with bleached bottle blond spiky hair.
