    June Tabor….

    The Brean Lament.

Cheerful one about a local shipwreck. To this day if a sailor or fisherman drowns drowns
they bury his boots at the tideline.

Good choice……..well do not know the book but it is amazing that we now have this choice
to listen to books on out iPods and handheld devices.

Our library even has a service for you to borrow direct to your iPod the latest library books that then “evaporate”
    after 21 days.

    This is the future.

It’s a great service, must explore what my library has these days.

    “Adore Jazz”.

That is not a song, it is a radio station in San Francisco playing 24 hour,
    mellow, cool jazz.

Nice Amazon peeps last week convinced me to buy an internet radio as they
were giving it away at half price. 1,000 stations all with crystal clarity, delighted
    with my purchase.

Till I found out I can get them all for free on my iPod Touch. Sar78 and Woogy
told me ages ago about an App called “Tune In Radio”.

This does it all for free!

I remember in the eighties watching one of the many films released in the wake of his success after “The Karate Kid” a Ralph Macchio film called “Crossroads”. It wasn’t a great film nor a particularly bad one (from memory) but, me Dad liked it purely for the soundtrack by Ry Cooder & I subsequently bought him it. Blues man, blues.

I’m picking through the deluge of compilation mix albums owed to the house/deep house renaissence.

R.I.P Frankie Knuckles, house music pioneer gone too soon.

    Best Of James …

Some wonderful, pretty forgotten, tracks from the 80’s :)

Makes a nice change from my usual Pink Floyd.
