That is what it is all about!
Glad you have made this progress.

Looked it up, that is a fully functional bed, you will have no problems!

Dare I ask are they giving you a “Rise and Recline” chair too?

    Hi Bill,

    Welcome to the forum.

We do have some members with IBM but they might
bit be visiting the forum at this exact time.

A lot of the issues you face will be similar for
all three types of MD so feel free to ask questions.

This is a very good and valid question.

My elderly cousin refused an electric profiling bed because
it was a “Hospital Bed”. Later she was forced to get
one and now thinks it is wonderful.

I have had one since 2014 and it is absolutely marvellous. The moment
you have all your own bedding on if it looks completely different.
The main issue by far has been the incredible functions of the bed
which enable you to change every height and angle at the press of
a button. Get on at one height, get off at another whatever
suits you. You can even move the different sections independently
depending on the aches and pains you have. I would not be without mine.

In our area people seem to be getting this one, the Sidhil Solite.
As you can see it is quite expensive. People who buy cheaper
ones that look like normal divan type beds often find they
do not have the full range of functions….

Doing the spring cleaning before Autumn!

Taking cuttings in the garden because there are no new plants to buy even if we could get to the shops.

Going back to the 1700 calories a day diet… Rigidly. Have to make some good out of this.

Making a point not to worry about things. Worrying will not change anything.

    Allocation of scarce resources……

…..is this what we have come to?

Much smaller issue but symptomatic…… Even the blessed supermarkets
still will not give priority on home delivery to vulnerable and
housebound people. Just a free for all with a vague, shop if you actually
can message tacked on the end.

Reply To: F2F Assessments Stopped by DWP…

I worry about re assessments personally as I do not trust them. For that reason it is very unlikely I will apply for one even though my condition is much worse that it ever was.
    Mike

    This is shocking to read!

A poor gentleman whose medical condition is sadly getting worse, is fearful of applying for benefits that should rightfully be his because he is convinced or benefits system will not treat him fairly.

A biting and savage indictment of government policy and attitude to disabled people.

Sadly it is even worse than this, people could just sit back and choose not to be reassessed. Now virtually all the benefits have had the lifetime awards abolished and replaced by continual reassessment.

Many would agree with the above gentleman.
