We always advise that you seek professional advice when writing your Will. It is easy to do and does not need to be expensive. In fact, MDUK offers two schemes that enable you to make your Will for free:

Our membership of the National Free Wills Network means that we can cover the costs for you to have a simple or mirror Will written by qualified solicitors within reasonable travelling distance of where you live.

Fill in this form and tick the Free Wills Service box.
Our partner, the National Free Wills Network, will then send you the names and addresses of at least two local firms of solicitors taking part in this scheme.
The solicitor draws up your Will and you don’t have to pay the bill.

With Farewill, you can make your Will online in three simple steps, with live support from their Will specialists and a free Will-checking service.

Visit Farewill to get started, and use code MDUKfree to claim your free Will, with optional unlimited updates for just £10 a year (first year of updates is free).

Why does MDUK provide a Free Wills Services?

A lot of people include a gift in their Will to us when they are using these services. You don’t have to, but we do hope you’ll consider it. Gifts in Wills have played a very important part in funding progress in research and still fund one project in three.

If you have any questions about leaving a gift in your Will, please get in touch using this online form, or contact Catriona Parker on  020 7803 4834 or at legacy@musculardystrophyuk.org.
