Trailblazers are pleased to announce the launch of a new Working Group that will focus on barriers to employment faced by young disabled people. The group will be run by Emma Vogelmann our new Employability Officer who is going to be developing Muscular Dystrophy UK’s policy around closing the disabled employment gap. This new project will be working closely with the Moving Up project.

The Working Group will be sharing their experiences of trying to find work and come up with possible solutions to barriers. These discussions will directly inform the recommendations and policies MDUK gives to members of Parliament and other decision-makers.

To join the Working Group you need to be aged 16-30, have a muscle-wasting condition and live in London. You don’t need to have had a negative experience to join the group, success stories are great to learn from too. We are looking for people who are in work as well as those who are looking.

If you’d like to join the working group or if you’d like more information on the project, please do not hesitate to get in touch on
