The EMF Hairy Haggis Team Relay is a great opportunity for a team of 4 runners to take part in the Edinburgh Marathon Festival. In this event, the 26.2 miles is split into 4 legs with each runner taking on 1 of those legs!

What to expect
Leg 1 is 8.3 miles and starts on Potterow with The University of Edinburgh’s Mcewan Hall in the background. This leg takes you through the city centre and past all the iconic sights of the city.
Leg 2 is the Cock & Pan Leg, taking runners across the River Esk and past Musselburgh Racecourse. It then continues beyond Prestongrange Mining Museum, the site of the 1745 Battle of Prestonpans, Cockenzie and Port Seton. This leg is 5.5 miles.
Leg 3 is the Gosford Leg at 8 miles. Runners can enjoy the picturesque East Lothian, racing along Scotland’s golf coast which boasts 22 courses. The route passes the village of Longniddry then enters the grounds of Gosford House, before looping around and heading back to Port Seton
Leg 4 is the Glory Leg and is 4.4 miles. The route passes through Port Seton, Cockenzie and Prestonpans and back past Musselburgh Links, the famous golf course. The marathon finish line is on playing fields at Pinkie St Peter’s Primary School.
