MDUK awarded £300,000 by the Garfield Weston Foundation

We are delighted to announce that the Garfield Weston Foundation has awarded us a grant of £300,000. The grant will allow us to increase our engagement in diverse communities, deepen our policy work supporting the provision of NHS neuromuscular services and ensure all our resources are up to date over the next two years.

The Garfield Weston Foundation

Established in 1958, the Garfield Weston Foundation is a family-founded grant-making Trust that supports charities in the UK. It supports charities that are providing direct services and activities to people in need, especially those who are economically disadvantaged, such as MDUK.

We are thrilled to receive this grant from the Garfield Weston Foundation, which will allow us to reach more people in diverse communities living with muscle-wasting conditions, as well as strengthen our policy work. This significant donation will make a meaningful difference for people living with muscle-wasting conditions across the UK.

said Nicola [Winfield], Head of Trusts at MDUK.

Working in collaboration with Garfield Weston

The funding is already being put to good use, with planning underway for delivering this project and recruitment for new roles about to begin. We are excited to share updates on the impact of this work in the coming months.
