This Spring, we are delighted to announce a new partnership with the Blue Diamond Group of Garden Centres.
From May 2025, a new and exclusive charity rose, named ‘Stronger Together’ will be available to purchase from Blue Diamond Garden Centres and through their website Fryer’s Roses online. For every ‘Stronger Together’ charity rose sold, £1 will be donated to us.
The floribunda rose, bred by Rosen Tantau, can grow up to 100cm in height with clusters of fragrant, red flowers that have a white centre. This beautiful rose blooms in flushes throughout the season and because of its open form attracts bees and other pollinating insects.
The ‘Stronger Together’ charity rose will be officially launched by Blue Diamond Garden Centres at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2025.
This isn’t the first time Muscular Dystrophy UK has appeared at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, as our Forest Bathing Garden, designed by Ula Maria and funded by grant-making charity Project Giving Back, won a Gold medal and Best in Show in 2024.
Speaking about the charity rose and relationship with Blue Diamond, Martin Hywood, Partnerships Manager at Muscular Dystrophy UK said: “The rose’s name ‘Stronger Together’ really says what we’re all about as a charity. There are over 110,000 adults and children in the UK living with a muscle wasting and weakening condition. I am one of those people and firmly believe in the power of community and that together we can change the future.
“For me personally, this partnership is about more than the charity rose.
“My local Blue Diamond Garden Centre is somewhere I visit frequently with my family, and you should never underestimate what a difference it makes to have somewhere in your local area that is not only friendly and welcoming but completely wheelchair accessible.”
