All our information goes through a rigorous production process before being published. This process involves collaboration across our team and input from people with lived experience. We also check that everything we publish is accurate and reliable.
For our health information, we involve neuromuscular specialists and healthcare professionals to make sure the content is medically accurate and reflects current standards of care.
Our information is reviewed every three years, with additional reviews as needed in response to advancements in research or changes in standards of care.
To help develop our information, we may use generative artificial intelligence (AI). This can support us to organise and draft early versions of content, and check that information is clear and written in plain English.
There are benefits to using AI when producing information, but we also recognise there can be risks. That’s why all our content goes through a robust review process before it’s published. It is always checked, edited, and approved by our staff, based on trusted sources, and reviewed by experts and people with lived experience. This helps us make sure the information is accurate, trustworthy, and easy to understand.
We will always be open when AI has been used to support the production of our PIF TICK accredited health information. When it has, we’ll clearly state on the page: ‘The information on this page was supported by AI and has been reviewed by specialists.’
