Transforming lives through research

Every day we’re working towards a future with effective treatments and ultimately cures for all muscle wasting and associated neuromuscular conditions. We believe this as passionately now as we did when we were established in 1959. It is this vision that unites us all and continues to drive our research strategy.

How we fund research

All of the projects we fund have gone through a vigorous peer review process. This ensures were funding the best quality science thats relevant for people with muscle wasting conditions.

Our research achivements

We’ve been funding groundbreaking research for more than 60 years. Thanks to our incredible community, we’ve made advances that would have been unthinkable just a decade ago.

Together, we’re changing the future of muscle wasting conditions. Here are just a few examples how.

Understanding research

Our comprehensive resources cover a diverse range research topics. Whether you want to understand more about exon skipping, the intricacies of genetic therapies or animals in research, our hub offers valuable insights into the world of modern science.

TAKE PART IN RESEARCH

Our information on clinical trials, how to find them and what questions to ask.
Registries are databases that contain information about individuals affected by a particular condition. These are used to recruit eligible patients for clinical trials.
This is where we share opportunities for you to engage with research projects, surveys, and studies.
