The Muscular Dystrophy UK Property Impact Fund provides a grant to cover the cost of the purchase of equipment listed within the tariff only. Funding is provided on condition that the equipment is the property of the applicant. In providing finance for the purchase of the equipment, Muscular Dystrophy UK does not take responsibility for the suitability or quality of the equipment or any liability for damage caused by the equipment or its use.
When an individual has no further use for the equipment it is their responsibility to dispose of the equipment safely.

The equipment you are requesting funding for is a significant expense. The best option is to get an extended warranty, but you may also need to purchase insurance cover. It is your choice what insurance company you use. If the equipment will remain inside your home at all times, you could consider insuring the equipment as a specific item within your home insurance policy.
If funding from the Muscular Dystrophy UK Property Impact Fund is no longer required after you have been awarded a grant, please inform us as soon as possible. The funds are available for use for up to six months once an application has been approved, at which time we will get in touch with you to see if the funds are still required if we have not heard from you.
