Free Wills service

We always advise that you seek professional advice when writing your Will. To make it easy and affordable, we partner with the National Free Wills Network, which enables you to make or amend a simple Will for free.

How does the Free Wills service work?

Simply fill out this form, ticking the Free Wills Service box, and the National Free Wills Network will send you the names and addresses of at least two firms of solicitors local to you. You then choose a solicitor, and they will draw up a simple or mirror Will entirely free of charge.

We’d love to share updates with you about MDUK work, opportunities to take part in events and other ways to help beat muscle-wasting conditions.

We will never share your details with anyone. We will only contact you in the ways that you wish, making use of the information you’ve told us (including your muscle-wasting condition) and publicly available information. We want to make sure what we communicate with you is relevant to your interests. Our privacy policy is available on our website or by phoning 0300 012 0172.

Do I have to leave a gift to Muscular Dystrophy UK?

There is no obligation for you to leave a gift to Muscular Dystrophy when using this service. But we are incredibly grateful to our supporters that do. A quarter of our work providing vital services and research into muscle wasting conditions is funded by gifts in Wills from people like you.

Leaving a gift in your Will is a big decision that has an incredible impact on the future for people with muscular dystrophy. If you have any questions or want to discuss options, please contact our Legacy team at legacy@musculardystrophyuk.org or on 0300 012 0172. It is also worth checking our frequently asked questions.
